NUCLEUS BOX
A nucleus box, also known as a starter hive or nuc box, is a small-sized beehive used to house a small bee colonies. It is designed to provide a suitable environment for the development and growth of a small bee colony until it is ready to be transferred to a full-sized hive.
Nucleus boxes typically come in different sizes based on the number of frames they can accommodate. The most common sizes are 4-frame and 5-frame nucleus boxes. These numbers indicate the maximum number of frames that can be placed inside the box to house bees, brood (developing bee larvae), honey, and pollen.
